Personal Profiles
Mr Peter Leopold M.B. BCh, FRCS MCh
Mr Peter Leopold qualified in 1979. After spending time practising in hospitals and clinics in the USA, he returned to the UK to work in the National Health Service as a Vascular Consultant at Frimley Park hospital in Surrey.
He is innovative in his thinking and the opportunity to work in such a reputable hospital has allowed him to thrive in the daily and futuristic Vascular practises. His honest approach to patient cure is not simply based on selling treatments. It is this consciencous attitude that makes the Surrey Vein Clinic thrive.
When he gets that spare moment, he looks after his small collection of classic cars and on his occasional day off can be found at his local golf club.
Mr David Gerrard M.B. B.S FRCS (gen Surg)
Mr David Gerrard is a fellow consultant to Mr Peter Leopold in the Frimley Park Hospital Vascular unit. He has a wealth of experience having qualified in 1989 at Kings College London. He undertook an endovascular fellowship at Guys and St Thomas in London before moving to Frimley in 2001.
He is a keen long distance cyclist but this does not leave him short of energy as he pursues his career in a friendly, reputable environment. He finds the opportunity to pioneer new varicose vein and arterial techniques stimulating.
Dr. Andrew Hatrick M.B. Bchir MRCP FRCR
Andrew qualified in 1991, is an ex-Cambridge graduate and joined Frimley Park in 2001. As the team Radiologist, Andrew is a key member of the Surrey Vein Clinic.
Despite offers to join other prestigious hospitals, he was motivated to join Frimley because of the personable people, excellent relationships with colleagues and management and the opportunity to be involved in demanding and challenging diagnostic and interventional procedures. He wears the MacLeod tartan, and when you meet him why not ask him what the connection is.
Claire Martin BSc
Claire is a Bachelor of Science in Professional Nursing Studies. Prior to achieving her degree at Thames Valley University, she trained at the Frances Harrison School of Nursing in Guildford, Surrey. Claire’s experience in Vascular Nursing dates back to 1997. Her daily duties entail responsibility for the health of up to 20 patients both in the wards and her independent clinics. With her youth and motivation, she is very popular with her patients and is a great asset to the Surrey Vein Clinic.
Janet Tee
Janet runs the Surrey Vein Clinic office and administrative services. With the complexity of vascular treatments, running the office is far from routine.
Janet is a qualified Medical Secretary. She has been working in several sectretarial roles since 1984. This included secretary for an NHS Consultant Physican for two and a half years. In 2001, she left to work in the private healthcare sector and subsequently joined the Surrey Vein Clinic in her current role.
Dr. Christina Leopold M.B. BCh. DRCOG
Christina has been a practising General Practitioner since 1984, and is a personable and popular person.
Christina brings a different dimension to the Surrey Vein Clinic. She has a wide experience as a General Practitioner and specialises in Women's Health.
In between looking after her family, she loves to take her Labrador dog for a walk. Enjoying the fresh air also extends to the odd round of golf.
